What is musicspace_woolwich?

musicspace_woolwich is an non-elitest independent music centre for all of the community of Woolwich and beyond. By offering a range of exciting music courses tailored for the very youngest to the more senior members of our neighbourhood and for beginner musicians to advanced, musicspace_woolwich is the first of its kind in SE18.

musicspace_woolwich is proud of its established partnerships with Charlton Athletic Community Trust, Greenwich and Bexley Community Hospice, Mycenae House ‘Reach Out’, The Orchard Theatre Dartford and The Churchill Theatre Bromley.

musicspace_woolwich operates 7 days a week throughout the whole of the year with the majority of courses operating during term time. In addition individual tuition is available on a wide variety of instruments, including preparation for theory exams and GCSE and A Level Music booster classes.

musicspace_woolwich acknowledges the demand for creating opportunities for all members of the community. Its commitment to creating daytime and evening classes at affordable prices acknowledges the needs of the community.  Its understanding that group music-making promotes wellbeing and good mental health is reflected in its creation of classes for parents/carers of babies (Carer and Baby Choir) and for adults with learning disabilities and carers (Everybody Sing!).

Performance lies at the heart of musicspace_woolwich. Regular performance opportunities are created for those who wish to participate.

musicspace_woolwich celebrates difference and creativity; we endeavour to enable people to reach their full personal, social and artistic potential through music.
